Being a scholar this 2009

This year, I am happy that I am qualified to be one of the recipients in free college education at La Verdad Christian College in Apalit, Pampanga. I am planning to take the degree of broadcasting. To help in the broadcasting ministry of the church.

Studying well requires a lot of preparation, keeping your focus, and a positive attitude. Here are some tips for studying effectively:

  1. Create a study schedule: Plan out your study time in advance and stick to a routine.

  2. Find a suitable study environment: Choose a quiet, well-lit space where you can focus and minimize distractions.

  3. Break down large tasks into smaller ones: Divide complex subjects into smaller, more manageable chunks.

  4. Stay organized: Keep notes, handouts, and other study materials in a neat and organized fashion.

  5. Active learning: Instead of passively reading or listening, actively engage with the material by taking notes, asking questions, and summarizing what you've learned.

  6. Practice recalling information: Test yourself regularly on what you have learned to reinforce your understanding.

  7. Take breaks: Give your mind a break and recharge by taking short breaks every hour or so.

  8. Get plenty of sleep: A well-rested mind is essential for effective learning and retention.

  9. Stay motivated: Keep yourself motivated by setting goals, rewarding yourself, and reminding yourself of why you're studying.

  10. Ask for help: If you need assistance, don't be afraid to ask a teacher, tutor, or classmate for help.

Remember, everyone has a different learning style, so experiment with these tips and find what works best for you.

My work experiences at STI Ilagan

I am lucky enough to be hired by STI-Ilagan, Inc after graduation. It is the same school that I finished the two-year Diploma course in Information Technology from year 2001 until 2003. I learned computer programming, data structures, a lot more.

Throughout the two years, I gained knowledge in computer programming. I learned how to setup a website like this one and to maintain this blog site for my random thoughts.

I worked at STI from April 2003 until November 2008. That's more than five years worth of working experience working in the education industry.

If you're looking to make a change in your life, there are many things you can do. Here are a few suggestions:
  • Setting of goals: Identify what you want to achieve and set clear, achievable goals for yourself. This year, I want to explore more of my career. Planning to continue my education and become a licensed librarian.
  • Adopt a healthy lifestyle: Make changes to your diet, exercise routine, and sleep habits to improve your physical and mental health. Health is wealth. Drink a lot of water in good intervals. Let your food be your medicines. Instead of taking pills, supplements, etc. eat fruits and vegetables and protein.
  • Learn a new skill: Take a class, read books, or find other resources to help you learn something new and expand your horizons. I am planning to write my book. I love writing actually.
  • Volunteer: Give back to your community by volunteering your time and talents to help others. I am a blood donor as well.
  • Travel: Explore new places, meet new people, and gain new perspectives by traveling to different parts of the world.
  • Get out of your comfort zone: Try new experiences and push yourself out of your comfort zone to grow and learn. Do
  • Cultivate gratitude: Practice gratitude by focusing on the things you are thankful for and making an effort to appreciate the good things in your life.
