Mother's day is everyday

Great are mothers for humanity, they should not only be remembered for one day.” — Bro. Eli Soriano

Mother's day holds a special place within the Members Church of God International (MCGI), where the reverence and appreciation for mothers transcend a single day of celebration. In the heart of MCGI, mothers are cherished, honored, and loved not just on Mother's Day but every day of the year.

Within this congregation, Mother's Day becomes an occasion to amplify the love and gratitude towards mothers. It's a time when members come together to express their deep appreciation for the invaluable role mothers play in their lives and in the community.

During Mother's Day celebrations in different communities, heartfelt messages of love and appreciation flood the congregation. Brethren and children alike take the opportunity to convey their gratitude to God for blessing them with the presence of their mothers. These expressions of love go beyond mere words; they reflect the profound impact mothers have on shaping the faith, values, and character of their families and the Church.

Each message shared on Mother's Day reflects not only the bond between a child and their mother but also the spiritual connection within the community. It's a time for reflection, celebration, and thanksgiving for the love, sacrifices, and guidance that mothers provide.

In the church, Mother's Day isn't just about honoring biological mothers; it's also about recognizing the nurturing spirit that extends to spiritual mothers within the congregation. Elderly women who have mentored and guided younger members in their faith journey are also celebrated and appreciated.

Ultimately, Mother's Day in the congregation serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of maternal love, care, and wisdom in the lives of individuals and the spiritual growth of the Church as a whole. It's a day to honor the embodiment of selflessness, strength, and grace that mothers exemplify, not just on one designated day, but every day of the year.

Until we see each other again

I heard his voice on the radio airwaves sometime in year 2000 to 2001 when I was in my fourth year high school days. Searching for truth in religion and about the bible. Eventually, I was baptized in 2002 in the church and keep continuing today. God-willing, come March 12th, will be my 19th year in the church.

I met Bro. Eli personally when he was able to visit a Pasalamat celebration with fellow brethren in Isabela province sometime in late 2005. The venue was F.L. Dy Coliseum in Cauayan City, Isabela. That's before he finally go out of the Philippines due to some issues being perpetuated by detractors.

In 2009-2010, I became one of the recipients of the newly-launch tuition-free program of La Verdad Christian College in Apalit, Pampanga. I took AB Broadcasting, an undergraduate program. Although I was not able to complete the program, I feel lucky enough to part of this noble program. The program still runs until today, including the Caloocan campus in Metro Manila.

This year 2021, after hearing the news about the passing of Bro. Eli during an exclusive session, I feel the pain, I feel the loss of a loving father, I feel the loss of a faithful leader in the Church. But I will still continue until the end, until we see each other again, in the thousand-year reign of the Lord.

Mercy

By Ellaine Francisco-See

Not everyone may be bright.
Others are just privileged,
Others opportuned,
While the rest are taking risks.

We have our own respective battles
As we listen to one another
And assess human behavior
Let's try to attach some MERCY.

MERCY in giving others chances
Broadening understanding
Expanding considerations
And putting God first in every decision.

We cannot see the hearts of others
But we know we are also weak
At the end, we shall seek
And pray for MERCY.

The west hosts International Thanksgiving

First time for the west to host this 1st Quarter 2014 International Thanksgiving, this event will mean a lot for us members of the Church of God in the bible. Although I was not given the opportunity to go to Brazil, here I was only in one of the monitoring centers in Isabela province, Philippines. Since the event is hosted in Brazil, it doesn't matter the differences in time.

Coinciding the three-day event is Bro. Eli Soriano's 50th anniversary of accepting his holy baptism in the one true church he leads today unto salvation. A golden years of serving God and humanity. No matter what happen, in the years to come, that same man is highly determined to continue what was started in our country to the western part of the globe. Truly, his service is fully utilized in preaching the gospel around the globe.

The first day of the event was the opening of another wisdom in the Bible. Topic is about friends of God in these last days. In this lecture, I learned that being friend with God, every secrets and His plan are revealed. Nothing is secret on being friends. Even from the account of creation was revealed to Moses, including the plan of God's salvation to human race.

On the second day, Bro. Daniel speaks of the seven spirits of God. It's the sign that a true preacher of God in our time. These are the spirit of the Lord, the spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge and the fear of the Lord. Preachers of God are the recipients of His secrets even mysteries are manifested. In our time, God reveals these secrets in the person of Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel which was hidden since eternity.

The picture above amazes me so much as Bro. Daniel elaborates the seven spirits. MCGI Photo.

The last day of the event was the offering of songs of praises to God from different places in the congregation. Various documentaries were played concerning the progress of the global evangelization of the church. Then follows the climax of the topic by Bro. Eli Soriano and Bro. Daniel Razon. The three-day event was not sufficient to discuss the whole topic which will be continued on Saturday.

To God be the glory. I can't explain my feelings anymore! It's wonderful and fantastic! Until next time, God willing.

How great Thou art!

In the recently concluded thanksgiving day on June 22, 2013, once again by the help of the Holy Spirit with our religious leaders Bro. Eli Soriano and Bro. Daniel Razon. The congregation was very amazed with the biblical truths about regarding the kind of life we will have in the future. It's not only everlasting life that will be rewarded to the children of God, but in the ultimate truth, we shall attain the glory of God.

To God be the Glory!

Imbing naghahari'y kusa ring matitinag
Gawing kapaki-pakinabang ang ating buhay.

I miss everything in Apalit

What I miss most in Apalit? Let me metion: thanksgiving, worship services, prayer meetings, practice with orchestra, being at live in Bible Expositions, prayer at the Chapel, everything about inside the ADD Convention Center.

Also with the people I meet for about two years. Classmates, group mates, batch mates, and everyone. With the La Verdad Christian Colleges officials, students, visitors. The smell of the places, the happy faces, the joyful dance steps, and everything.

Hoping that in the near future, may the good Lord lead me to be in Apalit town again. I really miss the place as I am listening to Yiruma's My Heart Sent To You piece.

Nine years in the church

Aha, this March 12 is my nine year the Church of God. I am blessed to reach this long years inside serving Him. I was baptized last March 12, 2002 at 12:29 p.m.

For the past nine years, I still recall some of the things that I have achieved. In 2003, it was my first footstep inside ADD International Convention Center in Apalit, Pampanga. It was an annual National Youth Convention at that time why I was there.

During the years 2005 to 2008, I was in Isabela province. Sometimes there are chances that I can go to Apalit. But the year 2009, I have been given the chance to become one of the scholars of La Verdad Christian College. And the year 2009, I signed-up for training in ADD Chamber Orchestra unto this day.

Hoping for more blessed years to come God willing.

Reflections On PBK

The international thanksgiving of the members of Church of God International, once again successfully celebrated last September 3-5, 2010 at ADD Convention Center in Apalit to abroad worldwide.

September 3:

It was the first day of the International Thanksgiving, Bro. Eli Soriano served the fresh start of the thanksgiving with the topic about the veil of Moises (talukbong ni Moises). Followed by Bro. Daniel on the continuation of the topic

In the middle of the day, consultation is already started. A chance for everyone to ask Bro. Eli about the topic. This surely will rid off doubts and to make everything clear.

September 4:

Another topic was delivered by our ministers Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel. It was all about good conscience toward God and toward fellow men. Having a clear conscience is acquired from the true ministers of the gospel of Christ. Of whom Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel fittingly described for.

September 5:

Three topics that were discussed this last day of the thanksgiving. It was all about our Lord Jesus Christ, the settings of salvation and charity. Some brothers request for five-day Thanksgiving day this coming last quarter to Bro. Eli. To be able to contain all the topics which is currently short from three days.

Hopefully, another International Thanksgiving set this December. I am glad to invite everyone to participate.

Meanwhile, here is the video of the Thanksgiving of the Youth Ministry of the church. Of which I am a member of it.
