On music training

Do you have synonyms for the term, From everlasting to everlasting? Mine is simply as from music to music! Before the creation there is already music. According to Sharon Fabian, she said in here article entitled Music from the Beginning:
  1. There was music before there were people to listen to it. Birds sang. Wind whistled, and ocean waves crashed in a steady rhythm.
  2. People have probably made music since their earliest days on earth too. Maybe the first human music imitated the sounds of nature. Humans may have created songs in imitation of the sounds of other creatures. Once people had words to speak, maybe they also had words for songs. Simple hunting tools might have served as early percussion instruments. Simple flutes made from hollowed bones have been found that date back to 10,000 BC.
  3. Archaeologists have found evidence that music was played in ancient civilizations including ancient Egypt and Babylonia. Since early music was not written down, the earliest evidence of music is in the form of pictures showing musicians and musical instruments. Evidence of written music from the later BC years has also been found.
So to all music lovers out there, try to learn some instruments. It's fun!

Working as radio DJ

Last Thursday, June 2nd, 2011, marked the day when I eagerly applied for the position of a deejay at the renowned rock FM station in Roxas, Isabela. After expressing my interest and undergoing the initial screening process, I was informed that I would receive a call the following day, Friday, for a sample airing. However, despite my anticipation, the expected message never reached me. As the day passed without any communication from the station, I couldn't help but feel a sense of disappointment and uncertainty about my prospects.

Reflecting on the situation, I couldn't shake off the nagging feeling that perhaps my geographical location posed a hindrance to securing the position. Living in a different area from the station's headquarters, I realized that logistical challenges might have influenced their decision-making process. Despite my qualifications and enthusiasm for the role, it seemed that practical considerations might have outweighed other factors in their deliberations.

Nevertheless, as I mulled over the events of the past few days, I couldn't help but feel that a simple courtesy gesture would have provided some closure to the situation. While I understood the complexities involved in recruitment decisions, a brief message informing me of my status would have been greatly appreciated. Such small acts of consideration go a long way in maintaining professionalism and respect in the hiring process, leaving candidates with a positive impression regardless of the outcome.

But to give you an idea of what deejays are doing, you may click here for the details: http://www.bls.gov/k12/music04.htm. It's full of information there published by the website.

With regards on how to work as a deejay, here's ehow's file for your readings: http://www.ehow.com/how_7988_become-radio-disc.html. Thank you guys.

Misinformed people

There are texts message I received on March 14th, 2011 stating that radiation from Japan will affect the Philippines. Hence, the message is giving us warning of a possible problem that might detrimental to our health. This is because the fuel rods at the Unit 2 reactor at Japan's Fukishima Daiichi Plant are fully exposed.

National Telecommunications Communication (NTC) should penalize people behind this prank text message. It is just an effect of abuse of text unlimited service and promos of telcos. The message produced panic among people specially in Cebu.

People should be aware of this kind of messages and call government agencies to confirm the veracity of this information. Doing so will not cause panic to the public amidst disasters, unrests and destabilization. Be careful of these messages and be ready for a disaster anytime.

My Facebook is four years old

Facebook was launched in year 2004. That year, the popular social networking in the Philippines is Friendster. But Facebook became popular for me in the year 2007.

I could imagine that I am the first Filipino to have a Facebook account. Really! According to a research conducted by U.P. Diliman Mass Communications students, they have found out that most Filipinos have their Facebook account as of late 2009 and most of them were in 2010. Mine was 2007 and it has now FOUR years old!

But sad to say, Facebook is misused by some of my friends added to my account. And most importantly, there are some features of Facebook that is not used but don't know how to use it. Ouch

Nine years in the church

Aha, this March 12 is my nine year the Church of God. I am blessed to reach this long years inside serving Him. I was baptized last March 12, 2002 at 12:29 p.m.

For the past nine years, I still recall some of the things that I have achieved. In 2003, it was my first footstep inside ADD International Convention Center in Apalit, Pampanga. It was an annual National Youth Convention at that time why I was there.

During the years 2005 to 2008, I was in Isabela province. Sometimes there are chances that I can go to Apalit. But the year 2009, I have been given the chance to become one of the scholars of La Verdad Christian College. And the year 2009, I signed-up for training in ADD Chamber Orchestra unto this day.

Hoping for more blessed years to come God willing.

Why having a different line of thinking?

When I was studying at La Verdad Christian College (LVCC), my teacher told in our class one afternoon that I have a different line of thinking. He didn't cite any reason why it was so. He noticed that I am different among the class.

The difference of thinking is my inspiration to put this blog. Although I am not a writer, I didn't even passed from college paper to become one of its staff. I am still pursuing to write and write and write. To the extend that I gain a lot of experience doing so.

And if by chance you read this blog of mine, kindly post some comments. That way, you may contribute and collaborate about any topic posted on this blog.

Good luck to all of us and God bless.

Reflections On PBK

The international thanksgiving of the members of Church of God International, once again successfully celebrated last September 3-5, 2010 at ADD Convention Center in Apalit to abroad worldwide.

September 3:

It was the first day of the International Thanksgiving, Bro. Eli Soriano served the fresh start of the thanksgiving with the topic about the veil of Moises (talukbong ni Moises). Followed by Bro. Daniel on the continuation of the topic

In the middle of the day, consultation is already started. A chance for everyone to ask Bro. Eli about the topic. This surely will rid off doubts and to make everything clear.

September 4:

Another topic was delivered by our ministers Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel. It was all about good conscience toward God and toward fellow men. Having a clear conscience is acquired from the true ministers of the gospel of Christ. Of whom Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel fittingly described for.

September 5:

Three topics that were discussed this last day of the thanksgiving. It was all about our Lord Jesus Christ, the settings of salvation and charity. Some brothers request for five-day Thanksgiving day this coming last quarter to Bro. Eli. To be able to contain all the topics which is currently short from three days.

Hopefully, another International Thanksgiving set this December. I am glad to invite everyone to participate.

Meanwhile, here is the video of the Thanksgiving of the Youth Ministry of the church. Of which I am a member of it.
